IELTS Speaking

Welcome to the IELTS Speaking section of Britfluency.

The IELTS Speaking test is a recorded face-to-face interview with an examiner and lasts 11 to 14 minutes. It is divided into three parts.

In Part 1, you answer questions about familiar topics such as your home, work, studies and daily life.

In Part 2, you receive a task card with a topic. You have one minute to prepare and then speak for up to two minutes.

In Part 3, you answer more detailed questions connected to the Part 2 topic. This section tests your ability to discuss ideas, explain opinions and develop answers clearly.

This page is here to help you practise the full speaking test, build confidence and improve your fluency, accuracy and range of language.
